Celebrating its 140th year, the “Pride” is a source of exactly that for UT students, alumni, and fans.
James Tanner got to do what almost no one had ever done—live with and study one of the Earth’s rarest creatures. And to make the assignment even more rewarding, Jim was working with a bird so startling in its appearance that it had once been called the Lord God Bird, mimicking the common exclamation of those encountering an ivory-bill for the first time.
What are UT freshmen like? We asked a group of UT freshmen to tell us a bit about themselves.
Pat Summitt and Bruce Pearl. You would almost have to be a space alien not to know about the Lady Vols and Vols head basketball coaches. They’re on TV, they’re in Sports Illustrated, they turn up at your United Way or your alumni chapter meeting. They’re charismatic, competent, and competitive right down to their toenails.
