UT alumni involved with the Tennessee Apprentice Program are establishing the program as a great resource for and a positive influence on UT students. This year, alumni volunteers representing a number of careers and locations matched up with about 90 UT students for the career-shadowing program, which allowed students from a variety of majors to visit alumni hosts at their place of work and observe operations.
The feedback from both alumni hosts and students is positive: 100 percent of the students say they would recommend the program to a friend, and 98.5 percent describe their visit day as “excellent” or “good.”
