Three Colleges Join the Journey

In the past six weeks, the College of Engineering, the Haslam College of Business, and the College of Law have embarked on comprehensive fundraising campaigns as part of the University of Tennessee’s goal to become a Top 25 public research university.

“The gifts raised during these campaigns are vital to the success of our journey to the Top 25,” said Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek. “The opportunities to further engage our alumni and friends will help UT become an even better university.”

At its gala on October 9, the College of Engineering announced a $150 million campaign goal to enhance engineering students’ experience and propel the college forward. Watch the college’s campaign video and see photos from the campaign launch event.

On November 6, the Haslam College of Business launched its campaign to raise $175 million to increase the value of business education and expand the college’s contribution to economic growth and development, as part of its Alumni Awards Gala. Watch the launch video and see photos from the evening.

The College of Law capped its 125th anniversary gala on November 13 by launching its $45 million campaign. “Success doesn’t lie with one individual but with many who believe in the future of this great university. These ambitious goals will be achieved with alumni, friends, and corporations who see the importance of investing in the University of Tennessee,” said Scott Rabenold, vice chancellor of alumni affairs and development.
