Five Accomplished Alumni Visit Campus

Carol and Jim Tevepaugh

Carol and Jim Tevepaugh visited campus in March to speak to an engineering class, consult with students and faculty in the College of Engineering, and talk with faculty in the aerospace executive MBA program. Jim just retired from his position as vice president of North Alabama operations for Lockheed Martin, and Carol is vice president for strategic business development for ARES Corporation.

Brigadier General William BeardBrigadier General William Beard

Brigadier General William G. Beard currently serves as Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne). Beard returned to campus in February to speak to a group of 50 students about the U.S. Diplomacy, Information, Military and Economics (DIME) Program in the Howard Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy.

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Tim Rogers with Jason LittleJason Little

Jason Little serves as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Baptist Memorial Health Care, where he oversees operations in three states.  Little visited campus in March to serve as the opening speaker for the 2011 Clifton M. Jones Student Leadership Conference, where he also led a discussion on motivation for students.

Allan HoustonAllan Houston

UT basketball alumnus Allan Houston is ranked first in UT career scoring and second in SEC career scoring. Houston’s jersey number was retired during a ceremony at Thompson-Boling Arena during the Tennessee/Kentucky men’s basketball game. Houston serves as assistant general manager for the New York Knicks.
