A Tipoff Tailgate

It’s Basketball Time In Tennessee!

Third Annual Young Alumni Tipoff Tailgate & Basketball Game
Tennessee vs. South Carolina
Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010
4:00-5:30 p.m. – Tipoff Tailgate
6:00 p.m. – Men’s Basketball Game vs. South Carolina
Make plans to take part in the Third Annual Young Alumni Tipoff Tailgate and Basketball Game on Saturday, Feb. 6, as the Tennessee Volunteers host the South Carolina Gamecocks.

The fun begins at 4 p.m. with a pregame tailgate party at the McClung Museum in Circle Park.

Our special guest will be former UT basketball standout, author of the book Vertical Leap, and fellow Young Alum Dane Bradshaw. Dane will give us a scouting report on South Carolina’s team, share his keys to the game, tell some classic Bruce Pearl stories, and answer questions about his days as a Vol.

Appetizers will be served, and a cash bar will be available. (Please note: Bar is cash only.)

At 5:30, we’ll make our way to Thompson-Boling Arena for the basketball game, which tips off at 6:00 p.m. We’ll have designated Young Alumni block seating in the arena.

The event is $25 per person, which includes food and nonalcoholic drinks at the Tipoff Tailgate, a game ticket, and a parking pass in Lot 9 (the large lot across the street from Neyland Stadium).

If you don’t need a game ticket, but would still like to come to the tailgate, cost is $15, which includes the tailgate party and parking pass.

Game tickets may be picked up at the tailgate, and parking permits will be mailed to those who register prior to Jan. 25. After that date, all parking will be on the Ag Campus, and you can take the free shuttle to the arena.
