Atlanta Chapter to Host Beers ‘n’ Bones Party

The Atlanta UT Alumni Chapter will be hosting a preseason tailgate with special guest Dr. Bill Bass, UT professor emeritus, at the Atlanta Brewing Company, 2323 Defoor Hills Road, in Atlanta on Saturday, August 1.

Bass, a world-renowned forensic anthropologist, founded the University of Tennessee’s Forensic Anthropology Center, also known as “the Body Farm.” He is the author or coauthor of more than 200 scientific publications, as well as a critically acclaimed memoir about his career, “Death’s Acre.” Books signed by Bass will be available for purchase by cash or check at the event.

The event will be Saturday, August 1, from 2 to 6 p.m. The cost of the event is $26 for adults, which includes food, beer, and water, and $10 for children for food and water. Everyone must purchase a ticket to enter the event. All persons under age 21 must be accompanied by a parent.
