FOX Sports Broadcaster Speaks

Johnny Taylor and Charles DavisFOX Sports broadcaster Charles Davis (’86, ’89), visited campus in early March as a guest of the Black Alumni Council and the Accomplished Alumni Program. Davis has provided analysis for just about every major sport and television network, and he has called the past three BCS National Championship football games. Before devoting himself completely to broadcasting, Davis served as assistant athletic director at Stanford University, director of the U.S. Olympic Training Center, special assistant to the executive director of the U.S. Olympic Committee, and assistant football coach at the University of the Pacific.

During his visit to UT, Davis spoke to a group of students and faculty members at a breakfast in the Tyson House. He spent Saturday evening sharing with more than 120 alumni and friends the importance of setting goals, making an impact on students, and getting the most out of what life has to offer. He also joined Black Alumni Council members for a UT men’s basketball game over the weekend.
