Would you make a difference for UT? Tyson Alumni House’s new student organization, IMPACT, is focused on just that—helping the university through philanthropy. Thank a Donor Day, one of IMPACT’s first events, took place on National Philanthropy Day with the help of the Student Alumni Associates.
Throughout the day, students were educated on key university statistics and took a moment to thank university supporters by signing banners. The banners were presented to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Alumni Board of Directors at their biannual meeting. As government funding continues to decrease, students realize a little more each day just how important alumni support is to their education. Therefore, students asked us to pass along one simple message: “Thank you.”
