James “Jim” Dickason Hoskins, II (1962)

James “Jim” Dickason Hoskins, II, of Charlotte, NC, died October 7, 2011. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Engineering. Mr. Hoskins also graduated from the U.S. Navy Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island in 1963. He served as an active duty officer in the U.S. Navy through 1966, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the Naval Reserve. He was employed with Trane Company for 25 years as a sales engineer. After leaving the Trane Co. he worked for Climate Conditioning as a project manager. His last employment was as an instructor at CPCC in the HV AC department. Jim was a dedicated Tennessee fan as he spent his childhood days living on the UT campus with his family and grandfather, James D. Hoskins, who was president of the University of Tennessee at the time.
