Get the Kids InVOLved

Alumni chapter events are a great way to get the whole family into the UT spirit.  Chapters in Missouri, Georgia, and Tennessee are hosting family and children’s outings perfect for your entire Vol clan.

The St. Louis chapter in Missouri will host a Family Fall Day, Sunday, October 16, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Brookdale Farm in Eureka. Activities will include a corn maze, pony rides, hay rides, a farm animal petting area, a pumpkin patch, and much more. From 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., LC Cannon will showcase how horses are trained and to demonstrate some horse tricks. Snacks, beverages, and a smores roast will be available in the covered pavilion with a fireplace.

The Atlanta chapter invites alumni and their families to Imagine It!—The Children’s Museum of Atlanta on November 12. Alumni families will receive special pricing to enter the entertaining, educational museum.

The Benton County and Knox County chapters in Tennessee have hosted or participated in events focused on youth and children this past year.  The Benton County chapter hosted Trey Teague, former UT and NFL football player, who encouraged the large crowd of youngsters to make wise choices throughout their lives.

The Knox County chapter participated in the Knoxville Children’s Reading Festival in May and hopes to participate again this coming spring.  The festival featured craft tables, games, and readings and book signings by children’s authors.
