Dorothy Bonnell Stulberg, of Knoxville, died September 3, 2011. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University, a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota, a doctor’s degree (1974) from the University of Tennessee, College of Law, and, at the age of 80, a doctor’s degree (2004) from the University of Tennessee, College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. She was a lawyer and partner at Mostoller & Stulberg, the first female-owned law firm in Tennessee. At age 84, Dorothy closed her law practice and volunteered at the University of Tennessee’s Teaching and Learning Center. She used her legal skills to aid in the creation of the Lady Vols Boost-Her club, writing the charter and incorporation papers and her name is in the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame for her contributions to the sport.
