Philip Jacobs, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Service Corporation International, spoke to UT Knoxville students on March 9 in a class on international business strategy, addressed MBA students during lunch, and met with students from the Global Leadership Scholars program. Jacobs has more than twenty-three years of experience in retailing and marketing communication, including CMO and other management roles at several of the nation’s top advertising agencies.
Mickey Bilbrey, vice president of eastern operations for Quorum Health Resources, visited campus March 25 to lecture on the economics of health care reform at the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy. He also spoke to an undergraduate economics class during his visit. Bilbrey has extensive operations experience in hospitals, health systems, and academic medical centers, including roles as president and CEO of UT Medical Center and CEO of Empire Health Services in Spokane, Washington.
