SUPER VOLS

Superbowl LogoOnce again, a group of former Vols will be starring on the NFL’s grandest stage. Five former UT football standouts are on the rosters of the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers and will represent the teams in Super Bowl XLV. The game will be played at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Sunday, February 6.

Former Tennessee offensive linemen Chad Clifton (1995-1999) and Scott Wells (1999-2003) are starters on the offensive line for Green Bay. Defensive lineman Justin Harrell (2002-2005) is on the Packers’ injured reserve roster. The Packers are heading to the Super Bowl for the fifth time in team history, and these former Vols will help the team try to win its first Super Bowl championship since 1997.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are represented by two former offensive line standouts Ramon Foster (2004-2008) and Chris Scott (2005-2008). Foster is a starter on the Steelers’ offensive line.  The Steelers are attempting to win the franchise’s third Super Bowl championship in the last six seasons.

Don your Packers green and gold, Steelers black and gold, or your Tennessee orange and white, and cheer on these former Vols in the NFL’s biggest game of the season.

Coach Fulmer will always be my chosen Coach for the Vols. To say that 5 former players (from under his reign) will be participating in the Super Bowl is an honest, real life testament to his legacy. Also, the fact that Peyton isn’t one of those counted in the mix makes this fact speak even louder volumes. I hope Coach Dewwley (Dooley) can do as well in the future. God Bless Coach Fulmer, the Tennessee Vols, and God Bless America.
