Kellie Jolly Harper Keeps Her Winning Ways

Always sporting her signature French braid, Kellie Jolly Harper played for Pat Summitt’s Lady Vols during their run of three consecutive national championships, and now she has enjoyed great success in her first year as head coach of the women’s basketball team at North Carolina State University.

Chalking up yet another recognition, she recently was presented the Accomplished Alumni Award by Donna Thomas, UT senior associate athletics director, at a White County Alumni Association event in her hometown of Sparta. Harper then entertained the group with tales from the trenches of basketball, as both a player and a coach.
