Tennessee History Focus of Alumni College

The first ever “mini-college” was held on campus recently with a focus on Tennessee history. The Alumni College: Tennessee History was held on Friday, Nov. 20 at the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy. Forty-five alumni and friends came to campus for a half-day to hear UT faculty speakers and an alumnus speaker present a variety of Tennessee history topics:

Dr. Bruce Wheeler
“UT’s Greatest President: A Look at the Past and Message for the Future”

Dr. Ed Caudill
“Nathan Bedford Forrest: ‘Devil’ or Military Genius?”

Dr. Dan Feller
“The Andrew Jackson Papers Project”

Jack Neely
“Market Square: ‘The Most Democratic Place on Earth’”

Stay tuned for future Alumni College events!
