Need a New Year’s Resolution?

Tennessee in Training

Tennessee in Training (TnT) is a group training program for the 2010 Country Music Marathon & Half Marathon. TnT was formed in 2009 and is open to all UT Young Alumni, especially those living in Middle Tennessee.

A number of great events are being planned for this year’s Tennessee in Training participants. Activities include Saturday morning group runs from Centennial Park in Nashville, a “halfway there” happy hour during week six of the program, a pasta dinner the night before the race, the opportunity to raise money for a great cause, and more.

After signing up to participate in the 12-week TnT program, Young Alumni will begin receiving weekly e-mails detailing the training program along with helpful links, weekly training tips, and an official Adidas TnT running shirt.

2010 is the second year for Tennessee in Training, and the group will be raising money for a good cause again year. This year’s cause is the Jason Foundation. The Jason Foundation Inc., headquartered in Hendersonville, Tenn., is dedicated to the prevention of youth suicide through educational and awareness programs to equip young people, educators/youth workers, and parents with the tools and resources to help identify and assist at-risk youth. Tennessee in Training participants are not required to raise funds as a part of the program, but everyone will have the option through an online account.

Whether you’re training for the marathon or simply looking to hit the pavement with other UT alumns, we encourage you to register for Tennessee in Training today!
