Notable Alumni: T. Nash Buckingham

T. Nash Buckingham attended the Knoxville campus in the early 1900s. He was a judge in practically every field trial and retriever event in the nation, beginning in the 1930s. In 1964, he was elected to the Field Trial Hall of Fame. He was the author or co-author of nine books and hundreds of articles dealing with the outdoors and conservation. In 1927 he was one of the founders of the Outdoor Writers Association and was honored in 1960 by its highest award. In 1970, he was elected to the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
