Go green with help of UTAA Women’s Council

Sara SnowSara Snow, host of Discovery Health’s green living primetime series Get Fresh with Sara Snow and Discovery Home’s Living Fresh, will be a guest speaker at the Dogwood Arts Festival House and Garden Show at the Knoxville Convention Center on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 12:30 p.m. Snow’s presentation is sponsored by the UT Alumni Association Women’s Council as a service to UT alumni and the Knoxville community.

The Women’s Council, a 16-member volunteer board supporting all UT campuses, has a mission to educate, support, advance, and engage women leaders through relevant programs and events. Snow’s topic, “Small Steps to Save a Big Planet,” will give busy families easy tips on how to incorporate green practices into their everyday lives. Recently, Snow signed on to serve as an environmental expert for Discovery Network’s new 24/7 eco-lifestyle channel, Planet Green.

Admission to the House and Garden Show includes Snow’s presentation. Admission cost: Adults—$10, Seniors—$8, Children—$5 (no charge for children under 5). Purchase advance tickets at ORNL Federal Credit Union locations and receive a $2 discount.
