Died April 2, 2008 in Nashville, TN.

Her early professional years were as a biostatistician in public health in Tennessee, Idaho, Mississippi, and for the federal government in Washington, D.C. She served several times on the UT Development Council and the UT Institute of Agriculture Board. Hazelwood graduated from the College of Business Administration.
